Inspire & Teach Kids for the Day at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy – Castellanos!

June 13th, 2016

Location: 1723 Cordova Street Los Angeles California 90007
Duration: Single Day
Date: Jun 13, 2016

At Camino Nuevo Charter Academy – Castellanos Campus, Junior Achievement is bringing our hands-on curriculum to K-5 students and need volunteers who are interested in teaching and inspiring elementary students for ONE SCHOOL DAY! You will be trained and given material prior to the day. All you need to do is briefly prep before you get into the classroom. The teacher will be in the classroom with you for the entire day, so you do not have to have prior experience in the classroom or working with students.

Junior Achievement is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating students about financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship. We offer curriculum for grades K – 12, which aligns with Common Core Standards for Math, English and Language Arts. JA curriculum is delivered by volunteers or parents. JA volunteers are not only trained and prepared to teach the JA curriculum to students, but they are also encouraged to share their life and work experience with the students to bring the curriculum to life.
