Hospice patients need you

April 3rd, 2017

Location: 2025 N. Glenoaks Blvd., S-100 Burbank CA` 91504
Duration: Ongoing
First Day : Apr 17, 2017

Gerinet Healthcare is a hospice committed to creating a genuine community of compassionate care for patients at the end of life as well as for their loved ones.

We are looking for volunteers throughout the Greater Los Angeles area — from Santa Clarita to the San Gabriel Valley — to provide emotional support to hospice patients and their families whether it’s by reminiscing, playing cards or looking at photos.

Benefits include:

• Enhancing a volunteer’s sense of self-worth by befriending someone with great wisdom but a limited opportunity to share it.

• Giving the volunteer the opportunity to practice important skills used in the workplace, such as teamwork, communication, problem solving, project planning, task management, and organization.

• Meeting new people and gaining a different perspective on life
