VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the event we are sponsoring below:

In honor of National Health Center Week (August 12-18, 2018), Via Care is proudly sponsoring a Back to School Health, Wellness and Safety Fair on Saturday, August 18th (Children’s Health Day).

This year’s theme is “Celebrating Health Centers: Home of America’s Health Care Heroes.”

Please accept our invitation to partner with us either in person hosting a booth, or by the way of sending us useful information, or making a donating to help cover the cost of this meaningful event.

The goal of this event is to connect with and serve the Community to promote a healthy community and by providing a means of awareness of the services that are available to assist them in their daily lives. The objectives of our Fair are:

 To increase health awareness and disease prevention by providing screenings and educational information

 To educate individuals on safety issues

 To increase awareness of local, state and national health services and resources

 To motivate attendees to take positive steps towards healthy behaviors

This FREE event will provide a valuable service to our community and is expected to draw many children, parents, and seniors from the community to participate and learn about health, wellness and safety issues. This event will be an opportunity for you to introduce your services to this community and connect with them on an individual basis. We want to provide:

 Medical and Dental Screenings

 Demonstrations & Activities

 Awareness & Educational Information

 Health Promotion

 Incentives/Raffles Items/Prizes

 Kids Corner (arts & crafts/face painting/jumper/backpack giveaway)

We are asking each participant to provide an interactive and/or educational activity to inform the community on the aspects of health, wellness and safety, or to provide a screening of some sort or free sample as well as a raffle item(s). There is NO COST to participate, however donations are appreciated. Each participant will have a table and 2 chairs to display materials, business cards, and necessary equipment. Due to our large Spanish demographic, we expect some attendees may need information translated. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with families in our neighborhood and we look forward to having you participate.

We love it when our participants help spread the word! A promotional ad for the event will be sent to you via email after you’ve registered that you can send to your contacts.

If you agree to participate, please complete the attached Registration form and return via email or mail no later than June 20th. With your participation, we can connect the families to the services, information, and resources available and necessary to make positive strides towards healthier lives.

We thank you for considering partnering with us for this meaningful event in honor of National Health Center Week.
