Happy Trails for Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1993 to provide energizing outdoor experiences for children with disabilities.
Our annual fundraiser – the Happy Trails Hike-A-Thon is on Sunday, October13, 2013 from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm at Temescal Gateway Park.
If a person chooses to participate they can either do the Hike-a-Thon on their own or create a team. Being a participant includes raising funds (minimum of $40/per person).
If a person chooses to volunteer they can assist in serving cotton candy, popcorn and/or ice cream, help at the arts & crafts table, play games with children at the bouncer and/or basketball free throw shootout and/or help at the registration booth – e.g. check in and/or sign up people for the Hike-A-Thon, pass out gift bags and/or water, and help sell lunch tickets and/or other items available at the booth
In addition, there will be music, carnival games, arts & crafts and the In-N-Out truck.
There is no application process, if you would like to volunteer you can call, email, or reply back to this post, a volunteer can work half or the whole day
