Girls Health Ed’s mission is to provide accurate and comprehensive health education programming to girls and young women in underserved, under-resourced areas.


We are looking for volunteer Teaching Fellows to deliver workshops in schools and community centers throughout the LA area in the fields of nutrition, body image, physical activity, personal care & hygiene, and for girls 12+ reproductive health. Exact dates and times vary according to workshop site scheduling. Time commitment is about an hour a week over the course of 5 weeks for a workshop series, where each week would cover a different module. Anyone interested should contact Pavita Singh at with their resume and a brief cover letter.


If you are interested in being a teaching fellow for Girls Health Ed, here are some basic qualifications that we look for when considering candidates:


Experience working in a teaching environment or working with youth.

Basic knowledge and understanding of our health modules.

Background or related experience in public health or health-related field.

Passion for our mission.

Ability to commit for one year.

Ability to pass a basic background check.

Must be female.

Must be 18 years of age.
