This opportunity will be in the MALIBU area and will last approximately 45 days.
FREE is dedicated to reducing recidivism through advocacy and programs. The Get Help App (GHAPP) program looks to reduce recidivism in a unique way – by providing six months of service and a smart phone pre-loaded with the application, GHAPP seeks to reduce barriers for ex-offenders that would usually lead to recidivism. We are currently looking for interns/volunteers to fill mentor positions on this initiative. Mentors will be charged with resource referral for participants in the pre-trial (and will aid team members during down time).
There will be a total of 10 shifts per week (Monday thru Friday from 8AM to 12PM and from 12PM to 4PM), and volunteers/interns are welcome to take as many or as few shifts as they wish. The trial will run approximately 45 days.
