Location: 616 Veteran Ave #116 Los Angeles CA 90024
Duration: Single Day
Date: Apr 23, 2018 • 9AM - 5PM
This Free Produce Fair is aimed to spread awareness about the food insecurity issues our community faces, educate students about some ways they can help to alleviate them, as well as provide resources for them if they are food insecure.
The Fair will be split into 3 sections: 1. Presentation, 2. Market, 3. Tabling Organizations. We need help with the facilitation of section 1 and 2, as well as pick up of the produce from the farmers markets the weekend before (4/ 21 and 4/22) that would have otherwise gone unsold and thrown away, and bringing it to campus for the fair (4/23).
FYI: Volunteers get priority access to the market before your shift as well! No need to go through the presentation etc.
Time Details
