The All-Nighter for the Poor event is a campus-wide, global initiative developed by Food For The Poor. The goal of the program is to increase awareness about malnutrition and to fund self-sustaining solutions — such as aquaculture and animal husbandry projects — to alleviate hunger and break the cycle of generational poverty in developing countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
On October 17, 2013, colleges and universities nationwide are joining the movement to host an All-Nighter event on their campus to raise awareness about malnutrition, hunger and sustainable responses to poverty. Funds raised will be used to support desperately needed income-generating projects throughout the countries Food For The Poor serves. It is a great community service opportunity for campuses and their student organizations to demonstrate their philanthropic spirit, creativity and global awareness. It is a great way to make a tremendous difference with effects that are life-changing.
