Divine Design – A Project Angel Food Event

Divine Design is the largest charity shopping event on the West Coast, connecting leading companies with devoted shoppers and major press, all while doing good. For 21 years, top designers such as Black Halo, Brooks Brothers, Buddha Butts, Elizabeth and James, Jones Apparel Group, Kate Somerville, Kay Celine, Kiehl’s since 1851, LA Eyeworks, Laura Gambucci, Macy’s, Marc Jacobs, Mattel, Puma, Tadashi Shoji, Toki Doki, Trina Turk, and Tulle have donated new Fashion & Beauty merchandise, all of which is sold to 7,500 Divine Design shoppers at charity prices. The Marketplace also includes robust Home & Gift Departments.

100% of Divine Design sales benefit Project Angel Food which nourishes the body and spirit of women, men and children struggling with HIV/AIDS, Cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Project Angel Food is the only free meal-delivery program serving all of Los Angeles County. More than 13,000 meals are lovingly prepared and delivered each week.

The group size can be as small as 5 – 50 people. The minimum age is 16. This is an event friends and family are welcome to volunteer in the following capacities. The event is held at the Robinson/May building on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd., 9900 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA.

Pre-event set-up duties:
• Set up clothes racks
• Inventory merchandise
• Tag merchandise
• Organize merchandise (which may require some lifting)

Working the event duties:
• Sales Associates
• Greeters
• Cashiers
• Check-in
• Floaters
• Merchandise Stockers

Here are the available shifts:

Ø Saturday, November 24th – Wednesday, 28th (Pre-event Set-up)
1) 9AM – 6 PM (partial shifts are welcome)

Ø Thursday, November 29th (Opening Night Party)
1) Shift A- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Set-up and partial shifts are welcome)
2) Shift B – 4:15 PM – 9 PM
3) Shift C – 8:15 PM – 12:30 PM

Ø Friday, November 30th (VIP Shopping Cocktail Party)
1) Shift A 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM ((Set-up and partial shifts are welcome)
2) Shift B – 3:15 PM – 8 PM
3) Shift C – 7 PM – 12:30 AM

Ø Saturday, December 1st to Monday, December 3rd
1) Shift A – 9:15 AM – 1:00 PM
2) Shift B – 12:15 PM – 5 PM
3) Shift C – 4:15 PM – 8:30 PM

Ø Tuesday, December 4th (Breakdown, partial shifts are welcome)
1) 9 AM – 7 PM
