Are you curious about Community Gardens? Do you have gardening experience that you would like to share? Or, do you know nothing about gardening and would like to learn?
This Saturday (8/24/13) the Florence-Firestone Community Gardens will be hosting a Volunteer-workday from 10am – 4pm; and will have a variety of gardening tasks on hand for volunteers to fully engage the community gardening experience. Currently, FFCG is gearing up for a second year as a fully functional garden, and will be planning ‘work-days’ in the near future; the work that is planned spans from establishing a childrens garden patch, to painting a guardrail, to weeding adjacent parkways. Much of this work is generally done by the Gardeners, but it is always great to have additional community members take part in the maintanence of the garden. The Gardens are located at 9747 Pace Ave., LA, CA 90002. If you have some free time this Saturday and are willing to get a little dirty, please consider joining us!
RSVP by emailing me at Adrian@GlenDake.com – please indicate what time may work best for you.
Thanks in advance for your time and energy!
