September 17th, 2016

Location: 1055 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1955 Los Angeles California 90016
Duration: Multiple Days
First Day : Sep 17, 2016
Last Day: Sep 17, 2016

Open to all current and former foster youth in L.A. County, College Within Reach offers workshops about the college admissions and financial aid process as well as a college and resource fair where students + their support network can meet college reps and learn about available community resources. The entire day is tailored to youth in care with the goal of giving students the necessary tools and information to begin college planning with every chance for success. Over 80% of youth say they are more likely to go to college because of this event. We anticipate over 650 attendees on Saturday, September 17th on the campus of USC.

We need over 120 enthusiastic volunteers to help with a variety of tasks
during the day, including:

• Logistics – Support the flow of the day

• Presenters – Educate youth on college attainment

• Direct Engagement – Work with youth in small groups
