Coaching Corps is a non-profit organization that aims to ensure all youth have access to the benefits of sport through a caring, trained coach.
We partner with after-school youth sports programs in the community to provide volunteer coaches that help encourage the sustainability and growth of their sports programming. These programs rely on volunteer coaches and the youth benefit from a smaller coach to kid ratio.
No sport or coaching experience is necessary. Coaching Corps provides all volunteers with an online Coaching for Youth Development training to prepare you for your season. All you need is a desire to help the community and an interest in working with youth.
We work with many programs on the Westside of Los Angeles including Boys and Girls Clubs, Rec and Park sites, and other local youth sports organizations.
For more information, contact Kyle Crowther at email@example.com or to sign-up to coach, create your coach profile online at www.coachingcorps.org/become-a-coach.
Hours depend on the coaching site/location. On average, you will commit 2-4 hours per week for the length of a full sports season (8-10 weeks).
Most opportunities consist of one 1-hour practice per week and one 1-2 hour game on weekends. Some opportunities are week day or weekend only and some are once per week opportunities.
