Mamba League Volunteer Coaching Opportunity
The Mamba League was created by Nike and Kobe Bryant, rooted in his personal insights to empower girls and boys ages 8-10 on and off the court. Featuring the tag line “Play, Learn, Grow,” the league’s pilot season, in 2017, took place at four Boys & Girls Club sites in Los Angeles and aims to fundamentally change the way kids engage the game of basketball.
Focusing on providing a fun and fundamental learning experience for participating boys & girls is a priority of the Mamba League. It achieves these goals by training volunteer coaches to develop skills and character in participating youth.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer Mamba coach for the 2018 season you must complete an Online Training, pass a mandatory background check and attend a Nike Mamba Coaches Training on Saturday, January 20 in the Los Angeles area from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The time commitment is a minimum of one practice and one game per week from January 22, 2018 to March 26, 2018.
