CLIC is a Dual Language Elementary Charter school in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles serving a diverse group of students. Our founding principal, Raul Alarcon, taught at UCLA for over 19 years and is a fellow Bruin!
Our Holiday Bazaar and Kermes is a wonderful community event that is held at LA Trade Tech. We are looking for volunteers to help us set up for the event and to help us run game and food booths for our students and their families. Although we do have parents volunteering during the event, we really would like as many of them to enjoy the day with their children. That is the reason we are asking for our greater community’s support.
There are three main segments for volunteers.
11:00am to 1:00pm – setting up of food and drink booths, games and tables for our holiday vendors
1:00pm – 4:00pm – Families arrive to play games, eat and drink, and purchase holiday gifts in our vendor area. Help is needed to work in game booths, selling various food items like hot dogs, pizza slices, water bottles, or supervising children in the play area (bouncy house). Volunteers may work in 1-2 hour shifts.
4:00pm – 5:00pm – Clean-up includes taking down of all game and food booths as well as loading up vehicles with equipment and supplies. General clean-up of the area will be taken care of by LA Trade Tech staff.
After your shift, volunteers will be given complimentary tickets to play games or enjoy some yummy treats!
