We’re excited to announce a brand new CicLAvia route for our 21st event! On Sunday, June 11, Glendale and Atwater Village will be connected by the country’s largest open streets event! Join us for CicLAvia – Glendale Meets Atwater Village presented by Metro!
Streets will be closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space.
New to CicLAvia? Here are some things you need to know for June 11:
-CicLAvia is FREE!
-CicLAvia runs from 9 AM until 4 PM
-CicLAvia closes streets to car traffic and opens them for people to walk, skate, bike, play, and explore parts of Los Angeles.
-CicLAvia is not a race! There’s no starting point or finish line – begin where you like and enjoy the day your way.
-CicLAvia traffic flows in two directions, just like regular traffic.
CicLAvia seeks volunteers to assist as Crossing Angels at the upcoming event!
Crossing Angels support CicLAvia by helping enforce the Rules of the Road ensuring all participants enjoy a fun and safe CicLAvia. Crossing Angels are positioned at a Pedestrian Crossing Point along the route near the hub to aid walking participants to get across the route safely. They ensure people on bikes stop for walking participants.
