The Garden School Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that provides interactive garden-based education to underserved children across Los Angeles in our beautiful living classrooms. Since 2003, we’ve been turning asphalt into ecosystems, working to create a healthy, educated and aware future generation that care for their bodies and for the earth.
r Volunteers are a vital part of GSF’s programming and play an important role in delivering our Seed-to-Table curriculum to the children we serve. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with garden-based classes! This is a great opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience with nature-based education, enjoy the outdoors in our lovely garden classrooms and show support for our community in a big way.
r As a volunteer, you will have the chance to:
r • Gain important garden-based education skills
r • Assist in teaching students and parents about preparing healthy, organic, delicious food
r • Meet and work with leaders in the Southern California urban agriculture and garden-based education movement
r • Work closely with a diverse group of adults and children in an outdoor, garden setting
r If you’d like to volunteer with classes please contact Shelby Crowell at firstname.lastname@example.org
