Location: 260 S. Los Robles Ave. Suite 115 Pasadena CA 91101
Duration: Multiple Days

CAUSE Advocates is an ongoing volunteer program that provides participants with team-building experiences, a greater understanding of the Asian Pacific American (APA) political landscape, and access to top political and community leaders through exclusive volunteer opportunities. The participants serve as CAUSE’s core group of volunteers and play a large role in our mission of advancing the political empowerment of the APA community.
r
r The program offers valuable learning experiences through volunteerism in the community:
r
r I. Professional Training:
r Various orientation and training workshops will be held throughout the year. Specialized program and event-planning training will develop the skills necessary to volunteer for CAUSE events. CAUSE Advocates will also participate in workshops to develop enhanced professional skills.
r
r II. Volunteer Experience:
r CAUSE Advocates have the opportunity to address political needs of the APA community through their support of CAUSE programs. Participants will be involved with our organization in many different capacities, including working at events, engaging in community outreach efforts, and performing non-profit work.
r
r III. Networking Opportunities:
r The program provides access to professional and political leaders of the community at exclusive networking opportunities. Advocates also receive invitations to forums and meetings with highly recognized community leaders throughout the year.
r
r IV. Mentorship:
r Volunteers connect with elected officials and leaders from various professional backgrounds through CAUSE’s extensive network. These mentors can provide valuable knowledge and guidance to the volunteers, which can help strengthen their abilities to prosper into leadership positions of their own.
r
r Top volunteers receive $500 scholarships*
r (*Additional awards pending sponsor participation)
r
r CAUSE Advocates encourages high school and undergraduate students to volunteer as a means of promoting and strengthening the political empowerment of the APA community. This program inspires volunteers to become civic-minded and politically aware.
