Help us begin our 13th year of providing high quality college access opportunities for local youth. Having grown dramatically over the past eleven years, the L.A. Cash for College Convention is recognized as the primary source of college information for local students who want to attend college and pursue high wage careers.
r An estimated 7,000 LAUSD high school seniors will be bused to the morning events on November 5 & 6, providing them with valuable resources and motivation for their transition to college and career opportunities. Family & Community Night, on November 5, attracts an additional 3,000 students and their families as we outreach to middle and early high school youth expanding their awareness of available options and college opportunities.
r This event provides an opportunity for you to reach highly motivated middle and high school students, many of whom are minority and disadvantaged youth who remain under-represented in college attendance. Now, more than ever, it is important for youth to understand the available options in choosing a college and career path.
Last year we were pleased to host approximately 11,000 diverse, qualified and committed students and family members, many of whom are first generation college students, at the Downtown LA Convention Center. We are seeking volunteers to ensure a smooth flow of the event for the following dates and times. Nov 4 - Nov 6: http://cashforcollege-unitela.nationbuilder.com/general_volunteer_form
