Join The Dream Builders Project as we host another
Staff and volunteers will arrive at Plummer Park (in the grassy area) at 11:30AMSHARP, like a freshly sharpened pencil #seriouslysharp! We will have everything you need. You will have fun assembling your own care packages filled with donated food, clothing, first aid items, water and other everyday necessities AND making pb&j sandwiches (p.s. everyone loves pb&j sandwiches)!

Then YOU will make someone’s day by distributing a care package to one of the 58,000 individuals that are living on the streets of Los Angeles all while not forgetting to post a photo of your amazing, impactful work on instagram or facebook with the hastag #DBPLA (so that we can repost your photo)! If you are unable to deliver the package, we are more than happy to take your package for you!
OUR OBJECTIVE is to show our community how, even in a short amount of time, we can make a difference. We will provide a small amount of relief while also raising awareness about the extent of homelessness in LA and how, as a community, we can and need to address these issues.

Why is there a cost for the event?
There is a lot of interest in this event, to guarantee yourself a care package, we recommend purchasing a ticket. Your donation will go directly towards purchasing supplies that we were unable to get donated. If we are able to get everything donated (yay!!) your donation will go directly towards our next “Care-Packages-for-the-Homeless” Event!
Where do I park? Do I really need to show up at 11:30AM?
There is a parking lot for the park off of Santa Monica Blvd, you can’t miss it, it says Plummer Park. Also, there is parking available on the street near the park. And YES, you need to show up at 11:30AM, we will be starting the assembling of packages at that time. Remember, everything will be ready for you to assemble so the packing time is very quick and the event will end when the supplies are all gone, usually within 40 minutes.
I am a bit unconfortable or am unable to deliver the care package to someone. What should I do?
No fear, we hear you! You are more then welcome to put together a care package, or even a few of them, and leave them for our staff to deliver to those in need.
I am unable to attend the event :(, is there still a way I can contribute?
Yes! Check out our website to donate directly to our organization, or reach out to email@example.com with inquiries, questions or comments.
Can I bring children or the elderly to the event?
Yes, of course, everyone is welcome! The event is very easy, takes little time and is fun. See first hand how you can make a difference.
What should I bring to the event?
You should bring a smile, some cash or a credit card (you can make a donation or purchase an Official DBP T-Shirt, adult and child sizes availble!) and your mobile phone to post on social media.
