UCLA VOLUNTEER CENTER: Big Sunday Week...
Big Sunday, California’s premiere resource for year-round community service and community-building...

Big Sunday Weekend 2014

May 16th, 2014

Location: 6111 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles CA 90057
Duration: Multiple Days
First Day : May 16, 2014
Last Day: May 18, 2014

Big Sunday, California’s premiere resource for year-round community service and community-building, is enlisting the help of generous volunteers throughout California for the 16th Annual Big Sunday Weekend 2014 (BSW 2014). The weekend of altruistic activity kicks off May 16 – 18, 2014, and includes community service projects at varied locations throughout California. Volunteers can sign up to take part in hundreds of service projects—community and beach clean-ups; school and environmental beautification ventures; book, food and clothing drives; gardening, painting and renovation projects; festive celebrations for underserved individuals and much more! Projects that benefit at-risk youth, low-income families, the homeless/hungry, domestic violence victims, seniors, military personnel, veterans, shut-ins and many more are now posted at http://my.bigsunday.org/ and volunteers are encouraged to sign up today!
r
r The public is also invited to experience and contribute to featured Big Sunday projects that include the Chill Out Express (a fun party bus that explores the city; the only price of admission is a donation of new socks or underwear for the needy). Community service buffs can also host a lemonade stand anywhere in America to help raise funds for Big Sunday’s Emergency Fund, which aids struggling individuals and families. For more details on all BSW2014 projects, please visit my.bigsunday.org or call 323-549-9944. For more info on Big Sunday, please visit www.bigsunday.org.
