Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with IDD.
Best Buddies at UCLA focuses on increasing respect and inclusion for people with disabilities by creating one-to-one friendships between UCLA students and individuals with IDD in the LA community. Our chapter hosts a number of on-campus events, field trips, and advocacy campaigns to practice inclusion and create a world that appreciates people for who they are.
