The Laurel Foundation is committed to improving the lives of children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS. We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to make a difference! If you love to help others, make life-long friendships, and expand your horizons, then volunteer to be a camp counselor!!
Camp Laurel is located in the beautiful Central California mountains. Our programs enable children living with HIV/AIDS to experience the magic and wonders of childhood free from the stresses of their daily lives. Through love, compassion and hope, Camp Laurel teaches children to understand that each one of them has the ability to make his or her life as full and rich as the next child’s regardless of this illness.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, be comfortable working with adults and children with HIV/AIDS, have good judgment and lots of energy. Experience with resident camps and HIV/AIDS is helpful but is not necessary.
“Camp is a time to forget about the worries in our own lives and make a child smile! It is a time to just be silly and send out some good love and get some back!”- Lorenzo (30 camps)
APPLY TODAY BY EMAILING LFRANKLIN@LAUREL-FOUNDATION.ORG!!!
Camp Laurel's Summer Camp runs from September 11 - 15, 2015 (Friday - Tuesday). Volunteers must be able to attend the full run of camp, as well as the mandatory pre-camp training weekend (August 29 & 30)
