Social services anchor the mission of Pars and are an integral component to overcoming many of the barriers faced by newcomers and ensuring self-sufficiency. Recent immigrants often have few or limited resources and need community support in order to establish themselves in this country. Our Persian-speaking staff help new arrivals and other low-income families and individuals successfully adjust to living in the United States through a wide and comprehensive set of bilingual social programs such as the following:

Provide English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
Offer computer training and access to employment resources including job fairs
Assistance navigating the social and medical system
Referrals to other complementary services (for example immigration legal services, domestic violence services, financial literacy training)
Assistance with enrolling children in local schools
Assistance with tax preparation
Cross-cultural and cross-generational support and training
Provide social adjustment training by qualified volunteers
Other services as needed to improve the quality of the family’s life in our community
