Annual College Fair

Hello All,

My name is Chelsea Dormevil, and I am a College Access Coordinator at Animo Jefferson Charter Middle School in South Los Angeles. On behalf of the students and staff at Ánimo Jefferson Charter Middle School (AJCMS) we cordially invite you to participate in our Annual College Fair.

Here at Jefferson, we work with high-achieving, first-generation, low-income students who are on a path toward higher education. Our goal has been to design and implement a college/career going culture in the low-resource community of South Los Angeles with the intended result of raising the rate of students who attend higher education. In February, we will be hosting a College and Career Week, during which each day the school will have a new event to promote success in college, leadership, and life to the students, including a College Fair on Friday, February 15th from 11:30am to 3pm. Animo Jefferson’s College Fair is a terrific opportunity to meet hundreds of underrepresented students to assist them in learning about your institution and organization.

Many of them see college as out of their reach, and it would be extremely impactful for them to see and meet university students who share their culture. Let’s work together in order to make this an impactful day. I look forward to meeting you all.
