Mercy Housing is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the after school program onsite at Caroline Severance Manor. With staff support, volunteers will assist middle and elementary aged youth to complete homework and build literacy skills. Volunteers will also help implement physical education and art activities throughout the semester. Gain experience in an educational setting, learn about affordable housing, and give back to your community- all while having fun!
Mercy Housing California at Caroline Severance Manor is an affordable housing community serving 85 low-income families in Los Angeles, California. The after school program runs Monday-Thursday from 3:00-5:00pm. A commitment of 2-4 times a month for the semester is preferred. Service Learning opportunities can also be arranged with your professor.
Time Details
Volunteers are needed Monday- Thursday 3pm- 5pm. Volunteers should be able to come weekly or biweekly and commit for a semester.
