The U.S. Olympic Committee is requesting dedicated volunteers to support and assist with the preparation, implementation and execution of various duties for the 2016 Team USA Media Summit, held at the Beverly Hilton. During Media Summit, 2016 Olympic and Paralympic athlete hopefuls will be routed through a media circuit made up of national media outlets in which representatives will gather content for the upcoming 2016 Games.
A majority of the duties include, but are not limited to, hotel greeters, registration, and assisting USOC personnel. The areas for which the USOC is looking for volunteers include:
• Media Registration (2)
• Athlete Hospitality (1)
• Broadcast Sessions (2)
• Photo Sessions (2)
• Press Conferences / Roundtables (2)
• Directional Runners (6)
Please email if interested, and we will provide an online link to register for specific time slots.
The 2016 Team USA Media Summit will take place from March, 6-9 at the Beverly Hilton. The USOC operational areas will be open for business every day of the week including Saturday (March 5) and Sunday (March 6). Volunteers will work in different shifts, depending upon their assigned specific work location. These shifts could begin as early as 8:00 am and they could end as late as 10:00 p.m. Shift duration can vary but most will be scheduled from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. However, volunteers may work the entire day if so desired. We will work to create schedules that match the availability of the volunteers, understanding that volunteers may have other outside commitments.
