Since 1978, the Children’s Tumor Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity and our EIN is 13-2298956, has been the leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by the neurofibromatoses (NF). NF causes tumors to grow throughout the nervous system, and can cause learning disabilities, blindness, deafness and bone deformities.
This year is our 11th annual Walk for CTF on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at CBS Studio Center hosted by CBS weathercaster Josh Rubenstein, Freeform’s star of Young and Hungry, Jonathan Sadowski, and supported by NY Jets kicker Nick Folk located at 4024 Radford Ave. Studio City, CA. Last year members of the community raised over $100,000.This year is a night walk with a glow in the dark theme and there will be food, wine, beer, kids carnival, and celebrity karaoke at the afterparty.
We need several volunteers to help with the walk route, raffle, food, kids game booths, vendor booths, assisting the chairpersons for the walk and registration and setup/cleanup. We need volunteers from 2 pm-10 pm. We can do 3 hour shifts or however long you can give us! Anything is appreciated! Please call so I can schedule you. It’s a wonderful family event and you will be so happy that you helped these families and kids with NF. And we all appreciate your volunteering with us!
Please call Joyce (co-chair) at (310) 897-3034 so I can schedule you on. I am a volunteer Mom with a legally blind son who has NF and had been on chemo for 4 years and is now doing well!
Event is 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm. At the CBS Studio Center in Studio City (on the lot!). We have a Walk to Raise Awareness and Funds; Need help set up & clean up and with the Raffle, Carnival, Food, Vendors, DJ & Celebrity Karaoke. Lots of fun helping kids!
