Duration: Single Day
Date: Jan 28, 2015
The 2015 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is a point-in-time count to determine how many homeless men, women and children there are in this county on a given night. The count will focus on the number of homeless persons, demographics and the locations where they reside. By knowing this information, public and private agencies will be able to understand the situation, direct resources to various communities and drive civic engagement and awareness activities.
r
r Volunteers are needed for Service Planning Area 5 which includes communities on the west side of Los Angeles County (e.g., Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Bel-Air, Westwood, West LA, Westchester, Marina del Rey, Mar Vista, etc.). We need volunteers to participate in the count January 28 (night) or January 29 (morning). Volunteers will participate in small teams that will drive/walk through assigned areas and neighborhoods to conduct the count. Training will be provided at a designated deployment site at the time of the count.
