A pipeline located on Sunset Boulevard ruptured shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. For approximately four hours, water gushed out onto the street and onto the UCLA campus. Cars were submerged under the constant flow in Parking Structures 4 and 7, and water leaked into some campus buildings and sports facilities including Pauley Pavilion, Bruin Plaza, the John Wooden Center, and the J.D. Morgan Center. Approximately 20 million gallons of water spread from the ruptured pipeline onto the surrounding areas and the UCLA campus. –› Read More
