Verdant Venice Group

Verdant Venice Group, in partnership with the Venice Business Improvement District (BID), the Venice Chamber of Commerce and Council District 11 is creating a 1 mile long, 4 block wide corridor in Venice that connects the Pacific Ocean to Penmar Park and Penmar Golf Course. The overall goal of the project is to create opportunities in one of the most dense sections of Venice for nature-based solutions to our polluted storm water, impermeable surfaces, lack of native plant habitat while strengthening community understanding of/participation in/access to shade and green space. For this event, volunteers will help plant 9-13 trees that are the keystone to the PARC project.

Time: 9am - 11am PST

(Please be aware that the time listed is for the actual service project. If you are taking the bus to the project site, we will ask volunteers to meet at a central location from 7:30am - 7:45am for breakfast and to account for travel time to the project site.)
