UCLA Sustainable Bruin Move Out
Moving out? With some simple planning, you can help not only reduce your carbon footprint but also give your gently used furniture a loving home. For the third year, UCLA will offer students an opportunity to donate unwanted household, including furniture and properly dispose bulky items. Partnering with local non-profits, UCLA will host a “Sustainable Bruin Move Out” event on the UCLA Campus and in the North Village area of Westwood.
Why should I donate? Reducing and efficiently managing our waste is one of the ways we can reduce our environmental footprint. We can get closer to meeting UCLA’s zero waste goals as a community by using lower-waste alternatives and changing our habits. Each of us has the power to make a difference in our everyday lives!
For this event, volunteers will help sort items for donations, help answer student questions regarding disposal of household items, and help load household items into trucks.
Date: Thursday, June 11 (11:00am - 5:00pm)
Various locations will be offered on-campus & in the North Westwood Village
Time: Please see the registration forms below for shift times.
