UCLA Hawaii Alumni Network

The goal of the Genki Ala Wai Project is to use bioremediation technology — probiotic mud balls — to clean up the Ala Wai Canal by 2026, making it safe for fishing and swimming again. We hope that the success of this project will inspire the cleanup of other polluted waterways on the island. Volunteers will be tossing these balls into the Ala Wai. It's a fun activity for all ages!
Join the Hawaii Network and The Genki Ala Wai Project for UCLA Volunteer Day! Parking will be at the Waikiki-Kapahulu Public Library.
