UCLA Blood & Platelet Donation Drive
*The Blood & Platelet Center will not be open on Volunteer Day, but please consider choosing a date at the registration link below to donate on another date.*
Did you know that 1 donation can potentially save up to 3 lives? Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Less than 38 percent of the population is eligible to give blood or platelets. Blood and platelet donations are greatly needed within the United States. We are asking the UCLA community to donate blood and platelets. The UCLA Blood & Platelet Center, located in Ackerman Union and on Gayley Ave, is responsible for providing a healthy blood component supply for patients at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, the UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and the Santa Monica UCLA Hospital. The UCLA Blood & Platelet Center collects approximately 60,000 donations per year. These donations yield about 75% of the blood and platelets transfused to our patients. Make the appointment today!
