Each year, UCLA hosts a Toy Drive to benefit the Chase Child Life Program at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA in order to distract hospitalized children from the medical environment and bring Bruins together to play. UCLA departments across the campus work together to place toy drive bins in areas where people will see them and donate developmentally appropriate toys and creative art supplies.
2017 is the 25th year of the annual Toy Drive, a holiday season tradition. Thousands of children have benefited from Bruin generosity over the years, so consider the Chase Child Life Program in your holiday shopping and donate an unwrapped toy to one of the many campus collection barrels. Government & Community Relations and the UCLA Volunteer Center will be hosting a toy barrel at the UCLA Wilshire Center 15th Floor. The toys will be picked up from all bins by Friday, December 15.
