UCLA is seeking volunteers to welcome campus guests and support the efforts of the Special Olympics World Games. Volunteers are needed from July 24 through August 3.
UCLA volunteer opportunities include serving as Dining Hall Ambassadors, Pedestrian Traffic Control, and general “Team UCLA” volunteers who are willing to step in wherever needed. A special “UCLA Zone” will be established in Bruin Plaza for employee volunteers to check-in and share information about UCLA with the campus’s many visitors.
Please note, the below opportunities are specifically for UCLA faculty and staff. Non-employees and employees who wish to volunteer with other individuals may register for the Fans in the Stands program directly through the World Games, a fantastic way to cheer on the athletes while they compete.
As with any volunteer activity, employees should coordinate the time off with his or her supervisor since each department’s volunteer guidelines may vary. Once you’ve had a chance to discuss your volunteer commitment with your supervisor, please fill out the below form to register.

The volunteer registration form is now closed. If you have already signed up, volunteer assignments will be made through Friday, July 24. If you have not yet registered, please stop by the UCLA Zone booth in Bruin Plaza during the Special Olympics World Games (Saturday, July 24 through Monday, August 3). Team UCLA staff will be able to let you know if and when volunteers are still needed.
Thank you for your interest in the World Games!
