Shine LA: Embrace Vermont

Created by Mayor Bass, Shine LA is a movement that strengthens communities by bringing Angelenos together from across the city to beautify LA neighborhoods. With major global events just around the corner – the 2027 Super Bowl and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games – Shine LA inspires Angelenos to take pride in preparing their communities to step onto the world stage.

This Shine LA project will focus on beautification efforts along the Vermont Corridor in South LA as part of the “Embrace Vermont” Initiative, a community-led effort to revitalize an important neighborhood corridor. Volunteers will help with litter pick-up, weed abatement, and other beautification efforts, followed by a community resource and family activities.

Time: 9am - 12pm

(Please be aware that the time listed is for the actual service project. If you are taking the bus to the project site, we will ask volunteers to meet at a central location beginning at 7am for breakfast and to account for travel time to the project site.)
