PUENTE Learning Center

PUENTE stands for People United to Enrich the Neighborhood Through Education. PUENTE is Spanish for bridge - they are a bridge to learning and self-sufficiency for children, youth and adults. For 35 years they have provided quality education programs to meet the needs of the community of Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles.

They are currently in the beginning stages of their first community garden at PUENTE. Volunteers will help with tasks such as watering, planting, raking and other tasks requiring the use of garden tools.
