Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is to preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all. PVPLC preserves underdeveloped land as open space for historical, educational, ecological, recreational, and scenic purposes. Since its establishment in 1988, the Conservancy has successfully preserved 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Volunteers will focus on restoring critical coastal sage scrub habitat to benefit local wildlife as well as beautify outdoor public spaces by planting native grasses and butterfly host plant in designated habitat restoration areas, watering native plans, preparing native seeds, and removing non-native plants from restoration areas.

Time: 9am - 12pm

(Please be aware that the time listed is for the actual service project. If you are taking the bus to the project site, we will ask volunteers to meet at a central location beginning at 7am for breakfast and to account for travel time to the project site.)
