Million Little is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that, through the power of creativity, empowers and supports the healing process of youth who have experienced trauma.
This year at Million Little, we are offering an exciting mentorship opportunity through our new CREATE THE CHANGE Leadership Program! This will support transitional age youth (ages 16-25) as they gain creative skills that will help them pursue a career of their choice based on their talents and interests! As a mentor you can empower youth in our community to make positive life choices that enable them to maximize their fullest potential and see the world from a whole new lens!
Join our team as we continue to support and uplift Juvenile Justice and systems involved youth ages 16-25, to be seen and heard, while they explore self expression that leads them to realize their full potential!
Being a Mentor is for you if:
You are passionate about amplifying youth voices and dedicated to helping young people break down barriers of systemic oppression You truly believe in the healing power of the arts and the strengths of our youth
Mentorship opportunity & requirements:
Duration: 9/20/2022 - 12/6/2022 (12 weeks) Time: Tuesdays, 1:00pm - 4:00pm Location: Pasadena, CA
Must participate in the program session in Pasadena on 9/27 from 1-4pm to meet your mentee Required to participate in 2 program sessions of your choosing (in Pasadena) Weekly expectation of engagement with your mentee - minimum 1 hour per week Professional experience in a creative industry is a plus We value lived experiences similar to the population we serve Must provide a proof of COVID-19 vaccination
