Timekeepers for Moot Court Competition at UCLA Law

Volunteer Duration:
Single Day
Start Date:
Sat, 03/11/23
Location:
UCLA Law
Time Details:
9am to 1pm
Opportunity Description:
The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law is currently seeking volunteers to help with its annual moot court competition. Hosted by UCLA Law, the competition is dedicated to topics related to LGBTQ law and public policy. This year, law students from across the country will gather at UCLA to argue a case that addresses the constitutionality of laws regulating conversion therapy and gender-affirming care.

The Williams Institute is looking for volunteers interested in serving as timekeepers for the morning rounds of the competition. All timekeepers will have the opportunity to watch two rounds of oral argument. Volunteers will be trained on the morning of the competition and do not need any prior experience. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

All volunteers will receive a free ticket to the Williams Institute’s Annual Update Conference and Gala Reception on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Details about the competition:

Date: Saturday, March 11, 2023
Time: 9 am - 1 pm
