Opportunity Description
The 26th Annual Los Angeles Cancer Challenge is a Halloween-themed family-friendly charity event at the UCLA campus that benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Research. The Hirshberg Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer and improving early detection methods. The funds raised at this event go towards funding seed grants for advancing research and providing resources for patients and their loved ones.
Volunteers will be involved in a variety of aspects of the day including but not limited to managing booths, handing out water along the course, supervising our kid's zone, as well as any other minor tasks during the event. Teens and adult groups are welcome and we can provide volunteer/community service letters if needed. We also ask that volunteers stay for a minimum of four hours.
If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering as a group, please feel free to contact our volunteer coordinator Joselyn at Volunteer@pancreatic.org or 310-473-5121.
