Opportunity Description
Take part of this amazing opportunity, taking care of these unique animals. India is home to 50-60% of the world’s wild Asian elephants and around 20% of its domesticated elephants. As such, the survival of this species is of great importance. This country has a long history in the domestication of elephants, which have played a role in many aspects of Indian life. One such aspect, which still applies nowadays, is transport. These elephants, however, are respected and well looked after by their keepers. The volunteer will have the opportunity to help care for these elephants, including feeding them and bathing them. They will also carry out other daily activities that seek to ensure the wellbeing of these animals.

We have 5 more volunteering opportunities in India, and many more all over the world. Visit our website to know more!
