Crisis Line Counselor
Opportunity Description
The Suicide Prevention Center's 24/7 crisis line needs your help as a volunteer Crisis Counselor! Support others in crisis and work to erase the stigma around mental health and suicide while building valuable skills and giving back to your community. No prior mental health experience is necessary!
Volunteers go through our 6-week virtual training (Tues. & Thurs. evenings) where they learn to facilitate crisis phone calls, chats, and texts before committing to one 4-hour shift per week for 12 months. All work can be completed remotely and volunteers must be 18+ years old/located in the U.S. Contact us to learn more about how you can get involved and join our next training cycle!
