Basic Needs Distributor
Opportunity Description
We are a nonprofit organization that aims to provide free clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies to students and others in need. We were founded by undergraduates and high school students working to integrate artistry and service in Louisville, Kentucky, and have expanded to UCLA’s campus to serve the Los Angeles community. Since its opening, the UCLA Redistribution Center has served over 5,000 visitors and partnered with a variety of organizations to best aid students in need.
As an organization at UCLA, we participate in events on campus and on the Hill to spread knowledge of our initiatives. We offer services with an emphasis on environmental awareness, from a hygiene refill station to redistributing used clothes. We require volunteers to run our center for 2 hours weekly and volunteer at 2 events per quarter; hours are flexible with your course schedule.
