Opportunity Description
PS I Love You Foundation is a South Bay-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that specializes in providing educational enrichment and mentor programs to improve the lives of our most vulnerable youth living in our more diverse neighboring communities to develop self-confidence, empathy, trust, and hope.
We are currently soliciting mentors for our upcoming 21st Annual Day at the Beach “Adopt a Child for a Day” Celebration scheduled to be held on October 22nd in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Bringing together 300 boys and girls ages 5-12 from various non-profit organizations, after-school programs, shelters and foster care from our more diverse communities with 300 caring volunteers, DATB is truly an amazing day of human connection, fun and healthy bonding or as we have been told, “the best day ever!”
Over the years, DATB has been the foundation’s most visible community event and main source of fundraising which allows us to carry out our day-to-day mission; conducting our “Love4Life” & “Yoga123” Social and Emotional Learning SEL classes in partnership with Title 1 schools, corporations and other agencies. Over the course of each year, we enrich the lives of over 1000 youth who participate in our programs.
As this is a closed event, in a public space, we ask everyone to pre-register on our website. Please contact us if you require a code to by-pass registration fee.
We look forward to having you join us but,
Peace.
