My name is Savannah Lovelace and I am reaching out on behalf of Pedal the Pacific, a non-profit organization focused on advocacy and the fight against child sex trafficking. Every year, we send a team of 10-15 college-aged women to bike from Seattle to San Diego (1700 miles!) to raise money for the fight against sex trafficking. In the last 6 years, we have had 60+ riders from across the U.S. and raised over $860,000 for beneficiaries like the National Center for Missing Children!
There is no cycling experience is required; our team is looking for individuals with a strong desire to fight injustice and an openness to learn and grow as an advocate for a world where people are not for sale.
The requirements for being a part of PTP are below:
- Women aged 19-23
- Able to attend a retreat in Austin, Texas from January 13-16
- Able to commit to next summer’s ride from June 8-July 23
- Passionate about fighting injustice and ready to use their voice as an advocate
- Eager to connect with other women who share the same passion
