Hosted by the UCLA Volunteer Center, USAC Community Service Commission, Career Center, Residential Life, Alumni Affairs, and Partnership UCLA, the evening features speed networking activities and the opportunity to sit down with professionals and other UCLA students. This event allows students to connect and network with leaders from the non-profit and public sector fields to allow students who are interested in learning more about or are looking for opportunities (e.g. jobs, internships, etc.) to gain valuable insight about a wide variety of positions and organizations in the community. This program provides students with information about ways to get involved outside of and after graduating UCLA. Students are encouraged to think more about their post-graduation goals, allowing them to continue with their academic careers with more focus and intention.
The fifth annual Non-profit Networking Night took place on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 7:00-9:00pm at the Covel Grand Horizon Room. This year’s organizations included representatives from the fields of education, environment, family & children, health, homelessness/poverty, international, public policy/legal, and special needs.
