The Midnight Mission

The logo depicts the back of a person walking towards the sunset. At the person's waist, the text reads in blue "SINCE 1914". Below the person in larger blue text reads "The Midnight Mission" and in yellow "step into the light".

Founded in 1914, The Midnight Mission has been offering a path to self-sufficiency to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness since 1914. As a comprehensive homeless shelter and homeless services provider serving the Los Angeles homeless community, we take an approach that fuses care and compassion with meaningful accountability, providing the structure and the resources that people experiencing homelessness need to truly improve their lives. They are seeking volunteers to assist us with 2 meal services that we provide daily to our Skid Row population.

Lunch (10:30 am - 2:00 pm) we will be meal prepping and getting the final touches. Lunch then gets served to 400 people starting at 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm, after that our kitchen will need help with cleaning the food line and dining hall.

Dinner (3:00 pm - 6:00 pm) we will need help preparing the last of the items that will be used for breakfast the following morning. Some early cleaning to end the day sooner will be started. Dinner then gets served to 400 people starting at 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm, after that our kitchen will need help with cleaning the food line and dining hall.
