Manhattan Beach Dune Restoration
The Bay Foundation, Shine LA, and Community Climate Action Day (CCAD) – Los Angeles County are combining efforts to bring together community members to take meaningful action in support of Los Angeles County's coastlines, green spaces, and natural environment. Through hands-on climate service actions like coastal dune restoration, invasive species removal, and native habitat restoration, this event strengthens coastal ecosystems, improves biodiversity, increases climate resilience, and protects beaches for future generations. Volunteers will help restore the coastal dune habitat through hands-on environmental stewardship activities, including removing invasive plant species, encouraging the long-term health of this unique ecosystem.
