Los Angeles National Cemetery

This is an image of the entrance to the Los Angeles National Cemetery.

The Los Angeles National Cemetery, located across from what is now the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System, has grown to more than 127 acres since its late 19th century origins.

UCLA students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and members of the greater Los Angeles community are invited to participate in a community service event honoring veterans. Together, volunteers will help clean the headstones of fallen veterans. The headstones will be sprayed with an environmentally friendly enzyme. Participants will then be asked to scrub the headstone for 20-30 seconds with water and brush. The enzyme will do the rest of the work!
